CCTV Drain Survey

A full camera inspection of your drainage system, with a written report of findings — £150, covering the survey and an unblock where the blockage can be cleared without further work.

What's included

We run a camera down the line and record the full length of the drain, checking for blockages, cracks, root ingress, displaced joints, and collapsed sections. You get a written report of findings afterwards, along with our assessment of what (if anything) needs fixing.

Where the issue is a straightforward blockage, we'll clear it as part of the same £150 visit. If it turns out to be caused by root ingress or a collapsed pipe that can't simply be cleared, we'll give you a separate repair quote rather than force it.

Buying or selling a house?

A pre-purchase CCTV drain survey is one of the most common reasons people call us. Drainage problems are rarely visible from a standard house survey, and issues like root ingress or a collapsed section can be expensive to fix after completion. Having a proper survey done beforehand — with a written report you can share with your solicitor or surveyor — means no surprises after the sale goes through.

We can usually get a survey booked within 48 hours' notice, which normally fits comfortably within a typical house-buying timeline.

Recurring blockages

If a drain keeps blocking despite being cleared before, that's usually a sign of something structural — a partial collapse, root ingress, or a section that's settled and now holds standing water. A CCTV survey is the only reliable way to see what's actually happening underground, rather than guessing and clearing the same symptom repeatedly.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a CCTV drain survey cost?
£150 covers the full survey, a written report, and an unblock if the drain can be cleared — a genuinely fixed price, not a "free call-out" with charges added per half-hour once we're on site. If the cause turns out to be root ingress or a collapsed pipe, we'll provide a separate repair quote.
How quickly can you come out?
We generally ask for 48 hours' notice to get a slot booked in, which is usually well within a typical house-buying timeline if you need it for pre-purchase checks.
Will I get a copy of the footage?
Yes — you'll get a written report of findings, which you can pass on to a solicitor, surveyor, or insurer as needed.
