What relining actually involves

A resin-coated liner is inserted into the damaged section of pipe and then cured in place, forming a new structural wall inside the old one. Once set, it seals cracks, bridges gaps at displaced joints, and restores the pipe's strength — without needing to excavate the ground above it.

Where excavation genuinely can't be avoided (a full collapse, for example), we'll tell you honestly rather than attempt a lining repair that won't hold.

When relining is the right call

• Cracked or fractured sections found during a CCTV survey
• Root ingress that's damaged the pipe wall
• Displaced or open joints allowing water or soil into the line
• Older pitch fibre pipework that's deformed or collapsing under its own weight
