Water jetted through the line at high pressure to blast away grease, scale, silt and root growth — restoring full flow rather than just pushing a blockage further down the pipe.
A drain rod can push through a blockage, but it often just moves the problem further along the line rather than clearing it. Jetting uses high-pressure water to actually strip the inside of the pipe clean — grease buildup, scale, silt, and root growth all get cut away, not just displaced.
This matters most for recurring blockages: if a drain keeps clogging in the same spot every few months, rodding alone usually isn't fixing the underlying cause.
Where the cause of a blockage isn't obvious, we'll usually run a CCTV survey first to see exactly what's happening in the pipe, then jet accordingly rather than guessing. For straightforward blockages, jetting can often be carried out the same visit as the survey.
